Everything you need to know to use workinOn.

What is workinOn?

A focused list of what you're working on right now. Type what's on your mind and the assistant manages the list — adding, removing, reordering — without forms or buttons.

Adding things

Type naturally in the chat box. For example:

Reordering

Multiple lists

Tap the list name at the top of the screen to create, rename, or switch lists. Each list is independent — the AI works on the active list. Your home-screen widget and watch always show the active list.

Photos

Tap the camera icon next to any list item to attach up to 5 photos from your library. The first photo appears as a thumbnail in the home-screen widget.

The home-screen widget

Long-press your home screen → tap the + → search for workinOn → choose the Large size for the best view. The widget refreshes automatically when you change your list.

Apple Watch

workinOn includes a companion app for Apple Watch. Your list syncs automatically when you open the iPhone app.

Status items and severity

Other apps can post live keyed status items that pin to the top of your list (see Developer API). Each status item has a severity level shown as a colored dot:

Tap the dot to cycle through severity levels. The watch complication reflects the highest severity among all active status items.

Siri & Shortcuts

Adding from other apps

From any app — Safari, Notes, Messages — tap the Share button and choose Add to workinOn. The selected text or URL becomes a list item.

Tips

Privacy

Your list and AI chat stay on your device — Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models) runs locally. Voice dictation uses Apple's speech recognition service, which may process audio on Apple's servers; workinOn only receives the text result. Read the full privacy policy.
